Job Summary
Conduct complete physical exams, manage acute and long-term medical needs, and provide continuity of care between physician visits. Perform daily duties including administering medications, suturing minor lacerations, ordering laboratory tests, and triaging patient telephone calls. Synthesize data to develop preliminary diagnostic and therapeutic plans while ensuring all care aligns with Stormont-Vail Health protocols and the Kansas Nurse Practice Act. Maintain comprehensive patient records and educate patients on health prevention and treatment instructions. This role supports the established care models of Stormont Vail Regional Health Center within a hybrid work environment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from an APRN/PA program
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
- Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format
- Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
- Willingness to learn necessary computer skills
- Registered Nurse competencies as designated by Federal and State organizations and as outlined in SVH policy
- RN license with advanced practice certification
- Physician Assistant (PA) - KSBHA
- Prescriptive authority per Kansas Nurse Practice Act and SVH protocols
- Stable access to electricity and a minimum of 25mb upload and internet speed
- Ability to comply with all security and privacy standards
- Ability to dedicate full attention to the job duties and communication with others during working hours
- Ability to adhere to break and attendance schedules agreed upon with supervisor
- Ability to review and acknowledge the Remote Work Agreement annually
