ADVANCED PRACTICE PROVIDER EMERGENCY

Assess physical needs of patients admitted to the emergency room, order and interpret clinical tests, and prescribe medications while reporting results to physicians. Plan and accomplish goals in a fast-paced environment by functioning as a consultant, facilitator, educator, and resource person to a defined patient population and caregivers. Strengthen collaborative relationships with physicians, healthcare leaders, and nurses to improve patient and family outcomes along the care continuum. Requires a Master's degree from an accredited advanced registered nursing program or a Master's/Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited physician assistant program, plus two years of emergency or urgent care experience and a current Kansas APRN or PA-C license.
