Job Summary
Provide primary care to patients under physician supervision following established medical protocols. Collaborate with a physician preceptor to formulate and review protocols, assist in developing operational policies, and supervise other clinic staff. Obtain patient histories, perform physical exams, analyze clinical data for diagnosis, and ensure treatment plans align with established protocols. Document all information accurately, sign consent forms, and refer patients to services exceeding clinic scope. Seek community resources, consider cultural and economic factors in care plans, and participate in quality improvement activities, audits, and surveys. Assist in daily lab, image, and record reviews while managing registries for nursing homes, coumadin, and home visits. Float between Jefferson County clinics, with occasional requirements to work from rural locations. Maintain a valid state license and submit to background checks, random drug screens, and peer reviews.
Required Qualifications
- Certification as a Family Registered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Maintains the requirements to keep a valid state license
- Submits to the necessary components to maintain privileging within the clinic including background checks
- Submits to the necessary components to maintain privileging within the clinic including random drug screens
- Submits to the necessary components to maintain privileging within the clinic including peer reviews by CMO
- Certification of fitness to perform duties
- Willingness to comply with the various quality improvement programs including PQRS, MU, METRIC, etc
Desired Qualifications
- minimum of two years experience preferred
- preferably in a primary care clinic setting
