Job Summary
Advanced Practice Provider for Pediatric Critical Care at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Responsible for comprehensive pediatric care through assessment, clinical management, collaboration with physicians, education, program development, research, quality, and professional development. Responsibilities include histories and physicals, ordering/interpretation of tests, developing treatment plans, serving as an educational resource for families and staff, and coordinating referrals. Requires APRN or PA licensure in Georgia, PN/NP or PA certification, BLS, and PALS within 60 days for certain roles; eligible for a Doctorate in Nursing Practice or Master's/Doctorate in medical science education; strong emphasis on evidence-based practice, safety, and compliance with Joint Commission standards. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills essential. Primary location is Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at 2220 North Druid Hills Road, Atlanta, GA, with on-site inpatient/ambulatory care responsibilities. Required Qualifications
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Georgia or multi-state licensure through the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)
- APRN licensure in the state of Georgia OR licensure as a Physician Assistant in the state of Georgia
- Certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse by one of the national certifying bodies (ANCC, AANP, PNCB, or NCCPA); Family Nurse Practitioner certification may be acceptable with CNO approval
- BLS certification upon hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 60 days of hire for NP/PA roles in specified settings
- Experience: no minimum required; 2 years preferred in pediatric healthcare
- Education: Doctorate in Nursing Practice or Master's/Doctorate in Medical Science Education; Master's in nursing or related degree
- Eligibility to practice in Georgia per state scope of practice statutes
- Open to Acute Care-Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants
