Job Summary
Provide advanced, comprehensive care to critically ill and medically complex patients in the intensive care unit (ICU). Utilize critical thinking, evidence-based practice, and procedural expertise to deliver high-quality patient care while working independently and collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. Manage complex medical conditions including fluid resuscitation, vasopressor management, hemodynamic monitoring, and mechanical ventilation in a fast-paced environment. Maintain strong interpersonal communication skills to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team. Requires current Board Certification and licensure as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant, along with BLS and ACLS certifications. Minimum of one year of critical care experience is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a board-certified and licensed Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP)
- Must be a board-certified and licensed Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP)
- Must be a board-certified and licensed Physician Assistant/Associate (PA)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a critical care setting as an NP, PA, or ICU RN
Desired Qualifications
- Strong working knowledge of critical care medicine, including fluid resuscitation, vasopressor management, hemodynamic monitoring, and mechanical ventilation
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills to synthesize and analyze complex patient data
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team
- Proficiency in procedural skills relevant to critical care
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- High level of organizational skills and attention to detail
