Job Summary
Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in Critical Care sought to deliver high-acuity patient management across multiple Tacoma-area locations (Tacoma, Gig Harbor, Federal Way, Lakewood, Burien). Night-shift schedule (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) with some daytime coverage, collaborative work with board-certified physicians and a growing APP cohort supported by VICU. Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, developing/executing treatment plans, performing critical invasive procedures, and ensuring continuity of care. Opportunity to participate in the VMFH Critical Care APP Fellowship Program and mentor fellows. Requires PA certification, WA license, ACLS, DEA, and formal critical-care training within the first year. Preference for experience with ventilator management, central lines, arterial line placement, intubation, and Point of Care Ultrasound.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Physician Assistant
- Washington license
- ACLS
- DEA licensing/registration
- At least two years Advanced Practitioner experience in inpatient care (preferably Critical Care)
- Fundamentals of Critical Care Support (FCCS)
- Palliative Academy in the first year of employment
