Job Summary
Provide direct psychiatric clinical care as an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) in the Crisis Center, including psychiatric evaluations, medication prescribing, supervising mobile crisis team, discharge planning, clinical documentation, teaching NP/PA students, and participating in QA and multidisciplinary collaboration. Part-time role with Saturday and holiday coverage; primary work location in Detroit, MI, with potential travel to sites within Wayne County and the State of Michigan. Requires Michigan licensure (PA or PMHNP/PMH) with DEA and BLS; PMH board eligibility; 2+ years professional experience and 1+ year in behavioral health; vaccination as a condition of employment.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in PMH Nursing (MSN) or other MSN with eligibility for PMH Board Certification OR
- Bachelor's Degree with completion of an AMA-approved Physician Assistant program and licensure as a Physician Assistant
- Valid State of Michigan clinical licensure and Licensure as a Physician Assistant with NCCPA certification or RN with PMHNP certification (MI)
- DEA registration
- BLS certification
- PMH Board certification eligibility (or PMHNP)
- Two years of professional experience; at least one year in behavioral health; experience in primary care/hospital settings preferred
