Job Summary
The APP Clinical Director will provide strategic leadership for departmental activities related to advanced practice providers, collaborating with clinical/operational leadership to support APP practice, recruitment, productivity, and retention. Responsibilities include APP workforce planning, clinical models of care and deployment, scope of practice and utilization oversight, recruitment and engagement strategies, metrics evaluation, and development of APP education programs. The role requires a Master’s degree (nursing or physician assistant), IL APN/PA licensure, MSO privileges, and at least 5 years of licensed APP experience, with preferred additional leadership or project management background and a focus on mentoring leads/managers within the department.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree from an accredited school/college of nursing OR master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant Program
- Current license as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois OR current license as a Physician's Assistant in the State of Illinois
- Privileged and credentialed through the Medical Staff Office (MSO)
- Minimum five (5) years of experience as a licensed advanced practice provider
