Job Summary
Advanced Practice Provider (APN or PA) sought for inpatient cardiology role in Trenton, NJ. Responsibilities include seeing a minimal 10-15 inpatient patients daily, performing cardiac stress testing (training provided), diagnosing and treating acute, episodic, or chronic cardiac conditions, prescribing medications, conducting comprehensive physical examinations, developing patient management policies, facilitating referrals, and coordinating with collaborating physicians. Requires at least two years of inpatient cardiology experience as an APN/PA, expert EKG interpretation, comfort with hospital credentialing, and ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment. Must have malpractice gap insurance and strong communication and leadership skills.
Required Qualifications
- At least two years inpatient experience in cardiology as an APN or Physician Assistant
- Comfortable independently evaluating and treating cardiac patients
- Proactive and receptive to tedious hospital and insurance credentialing process
- Must have proof of prior malpractice gap insurance
- Expert EKG interpretation
- Prior critical care experience (nursing or NP)
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Experience independently performing cardiac stress testing preferred (but not required; we can train)
- Start date determined by hospital credentialing if hired for the hospital first
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong leadership qualities
