Job Summary
Provide cardiac critical care clinical duties for pediatric patients, including obtaining history and performing assessments, ordering, performing and interpreting diagnostic studies, direct treatment and management of cardiac critical care conditions with prescriptive authority or referral, and engaging in discharge planning. Educate patients, families, and staff; document care per standards; participate in staff and student education; collaborate with a multidisciplinary team; ensure care delivery adheres to network nursing policy and care standards.
Required Qualifications
- Physician‘s Assistant or Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing
- Licensed Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Authority specializing in Cardiac Critical Care
- Credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing in Acute Care nursing
- Experience in caring for children with complex congenital and acquired heart disease in a Pediatric and Congenital Cardiac Critical Care Unit
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications
