Job Summary
Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner with Cardiac Critical Care credentials sought to join Dell Medical School and Dell Children‘s Medical Center of Central Texas in the Texas Center for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease. Provide pediatric cardiac critical care services, conduct patient histories and assessments, order and interpret diagnostic studies, deliver direct treatment with prescriptive authority, participate in discharge planning, educate patients/families, and contribute to staff and student education within a multidisciplinary team; relocation is provided. Expect collaboration with physicians and other care providers to deliver world-class pediatric care.
Required Qualifications
- Physician‘s Assistant or Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing
- Licensed Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Authority specializing in Cardiac Critical Care
- Credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing in Acute Care nursing
- Experience in caring for children with complex congenital and acquired heart disease in a Pediatric and Congenital Cardiac Critical Care Unit
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Desired Qualifications
- Credentialed Physician Assistant or Licensed Registered Nurse with Texas Board of Nursing credentials
- Licensed Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Authority in Cardiac Critical Care
- Experience with children with complex congenital and acquired heart disease in Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care

- Ability to educate patients and families/caregivers
