Job Summary
Advanced Practice Provider (ARNP/PA-C) within the University of Washington Medicine Diabetes Institute (UWMDI) invited as a Teaching Associate. The APP will provide consultative diabetes care to patients, perform initial and ongoing assessments for diabetes management, collaborate with endocrinology colleagues and support staff, educate patients and families, participate in discharge planning, and contribute to quality indicators and teaching/research activities. Requires WA ARNP/PA licensure, a graduate degree from an accredited NP or PA program, and national APP certification with DEA. Demonstrated teamwork, interpersonal skills, and clinical expertise in hyperglycemia management are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid Washington state ARNP or PA Licensure.
- Graduate Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program or PA-C Program or foreign equivalent.
- Nationally certified APP with DEA or foreign equivalent
- Proven excellence working in an interdisciplinary collaborative team environment.
- Effective interpersonal skills, leadership skills, and clinical expertise in the care of patients with hyperglycemia.
