Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history taking, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic studies for acute, critical, and chronically ill populations. Develop differential diagnoses, formulate treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practice, and manage pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions. Perform daily rounding, participate in team transition huddles, and complete required quality assurance chart reviews. Maintain collaborative relationships with supervising physicians and multidisciplinary teams while ensuring patient safety and adherence to documentation standards. Requires minimum two years of experience, National Board Certification, and current Ohio licensure. On-call duties and weekend responsibilities may be assigned.

- Obtaining relevant comprehensive and problem-focused health histories
- Prioritizing data collection
- Using collateral sources as necessary
- Development and reformulation of differential diagnoses by priority
- Identification of the presence of co-morbidities
- Use of diagnostic strategies and technical skills to monitor and sustain physiological function
- Ensuring patient safety

- High level of autonomy
- Minimum of two years of experience
- Experience with procedures
- Master's degree with an Advanced Practice Nursing Focus
- National Board Certification (APRN)
- Master's degree (PA)
- Appropriate National Certification (PA)
- National Board Certification as a CNP, CNS, CNM, or CRNA (APRN certification to match scope of practice)
- Acute Care Certification (APRN)
- National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certification (PA)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Ohio Board of Nursing license for APRN
- Current Ohio License 50RX – License to practice as a physician assistant with prescriptive authority
- Collaborative/supervision agreement as required through the Ohio Medical Board/Ohio Board of Nursing
- Yearly review/Quality Assurance and evaluations
- Ability to communicate and relate well with staff, provider(s), and the public
