Job Summary
Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with cardiovascular conditions including coronary artery disease, heart failure, and arrhythmias through evidence-based care plans. Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic studies while prescribing pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions. Provide patient education, care coordination, and chronic disease management within an interdisciplinary team model. Maintain accurate electronic medical record documentation and submit compliant professional services. Participate in quality, safety, and peer review initiatives alongside experienced physicians and multidisciplinary staff.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN, and APRN/APRN-FPA/APNP or other APRN license(s) in state(s) of practice
- Active national board certification in area of clinical practice and populations served
- Active DEA registration prior to hire
- Active Illinois Controlled Substance License prior to hire (if Illinois practice)
- Active BLS and/or ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by clinical practice prior to or within 6 months of hire
- Master's Degree in Nursing
- 1-2 years experience practicing as an APP required in Cardiology/Electrophysiology
- Demonstrated high level of clinical proficiency
- Excellent decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently and as an effective member of a health care team
- Ability to adapt to evolving technology and proficiency with the electronic medical record
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to effectively collaborate with and establish/build relationships with others
- Proven organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and twist continuously throughout the workday
- Must have functional speech, vision, touch, and hearing
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
- Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs over the head
- Must be able to carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
- Must be able to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job
- Monday through Friday schedule
- Five 8-hour daytime shifts per week
- No nights, weekends, or call responsibilities
