Job Summary
Advanced Practice Provider (APP) – Critical Care (Acute Care NP or PA) sought for Nocturnist coverage in a 16-bed CCU at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital, Mt. Vernon, IL. The role runs 7p–7a on a 7on/7off schedule (Tuesday to Tuesday) with admissions and post-op care, including approximately two patient admissions per night. Procedural duties include central and arterial line placement and intubation (training available). Requires NP/PA program completion; NPs must hold Acute Care certification; licensure in Illinois; strong teamwork and collaboration. On-the-job training with a collaborating physician; compensation based on experience and qualifications; incentive pay may apply.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a nationally accredited NP or PA program
- NPs must hold Acute Care certification
- ACNP or PA must have practice experience post education
- Ability to obtain PA/NP licensure in Illinois
- Team player and collaborative
- Nocturnist position working 7p-7a on a 7on/7off schedule (Tuesday to Tuesday) in a 16-bed CCU
- Procedural experience in central and arterial lines as well as intubation (highly desired; willing to train)
