Job Summary
Provide urgent care and primary care to patients of all ages; perform physical examinations, diagnose illnesses, and develop treatment plans; perform minor procedures such as suturing, splinting, and wound care; order and interpret diagnostic tests, including lab work and imaging; prescribe medications and educate patients on treatment options; collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals; ensure accurate and timely documentation in the EMR; maintain compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations; participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Current Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in the state of Tennessee
- Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) preferred
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care
- Proficiency in performing minor procedures
- Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple patients efficiently
- Familiarity with urgent care billing procedures and coding practices
- Knowledge of telemedicine services and ability to provide virtual care as needed
- DOT certification or willingness to obtain
