Job Summary
Provide direct and indirect patient care within Hospital Medicine as part of a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include performing physical exams and health history evaluations, ordering/ interpreting diagnostic tests (labs, X-rays, and other studies), performing diagnostic procedures (blood draws, smears, urinalysis), diagnosing/treating acute and chronic conditions, and prescribing medications in collaboration with physicians. Develop educational programs for staff, medical students, and community agencies; participate in training programs, seminars, and team meetings; collaborate with healthcare staff, physicians, and community agencies to ensure holistic patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Current Maryland Physician Assistant or CRNP or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner License
- DEA Controlled Substance Registration (or eligibility to obtain)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Acute Care APP experience required
