Job Summary
The APP (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant track) provides comprehensive hematology/oncology care in infusion and ambulatory settings, including daily rounds, patient assessments, ordering tests, coordinating discharge/follow-up, education of staff and patients, and participation in clinical trials and program development; requires NP PA credentials, WV licensure eligibility, BLS, and ALS as applicable, with preferred OCN/AOCN for NP and Master’s-level PA training.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a CCNE accredited nursing program with Master’s Degree in Nursing
- National Certification by one of the recognized APRN Certification Centers
- Licensure or eligibility for licensure, as a professional Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in West Virginia
- American Heart Association BLS Certification required with additional Advanced Life Support training at the discretion of the department
- Hem/onc experience preferred
- Eligible new graduates will be considered for NP track
- ARC-PA PA training program accreditation and NCCPA certification for PA track
