Job Summary
Pharmacy Technician in Cancer Center responsible for general and specialized duties across hospital, retail, and ambulatory infusion clinic settings. Duties include preparation of prescription orders (sterile and non-sterile), unit-dose preparation, use and stocking of automated dispensing machines (ADM/Lynx, Pyxis), inventory management, narcotics handling and compliance, and supporting various technician roles (IV room, automation technician, inventory, Ambulatory Infusion Clinic, Retail/Specialty, Medication Reconciliation). Requires licensing as LPT by AZ State Board of Pharmacy and typically 3 years of pharmacy technician experience; CPhT certification preferred. Shift is Day, Full-Time; location at Deer Valley MOB in Phoenix, AZ.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Completion of a formalized Technician Training Program
- Required 3 years of pharmacy technician experience (retail, hospital, infusion clinics, medication reconciliation or wholesaler experience)
- Pharmacy Technician (LPT) license by AZ State Board of Pharmacy Required
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification by PTCB OR ExCPT Preferred
