Job Summary
Part-time Advanced Practitioner at Summit Medical Group's Wartburg Urgent Care in Wartburg, TN. Performs complete physical exams, collects medical histories, orders and, where appropriate, performs laboratory and diagnostic procedures; develops preliminary diagnoses and therapeutic plans; educates patients and families; assists physicians in managing acute and long-term needs; ensures continuity of care between visits; triages nursing and family telephone calls. Requires completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program and TN licensure (RN/APN or PA) with several years of clinical experience in a clinic setting.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program
- Minimum of three years of previous patient care experience in a clinic setting
- Two years APN or PA experience preferred
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse in Tennessee, or current Physician Assistant licensed to practice in State of Tennessee
