Job Summary
Manage acute and long-term medical needs of patients in collaboration with physicians by determining preliminary diagnoses, interpreting diagnostic data, and ordering laboratory procedures. Maintain patient records, post examination results, and provide continuity of care between visits while triaging telephone calls and offering consultation. Educate patients and families on medications, treatments, and health prevention, recommending community resources as needed. This full-time role includes Monday through Friday hours from 8 am to 5 pm, plus one Saturday morning per month. Join a large internal medicine practice within Summit Medical Group, East Tennessee's largest primary care organization, serving over 370,000 patients annually.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program
- Minimum of three years of previous patient care experience in a clinic setting
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse in State of Tennessee
- Current Physician Assistant licensed to practice in State of Tennessee
- Pre-employment drug testing will occur prior to starting work
Desired Qualifications
- Two years of APN or PA experience
