Job Summary
Coordinate the weekly Pulmonary Nodule conference and foster relationships with multidisciplinary providers within the Beebe network and with private practitioners. Serve as Navigator for the Lung Cancer Screening program by independently evaluating outpatients, providing management recommendations based on Lung RADS classification, and maintaining a patient registry. Take active part in Lung Cancer Surveillance and evaluate inpatients at consult requests, including Emergency Department patients. Perform preoperative assessments for inpatients and outpatients, including History & Physicals, education, and counseling. Assess and manage inpatients during postoperative hospitalization alongside Thoracic Surgery team members, documenting care in daily progress notes and discharge summaries while coordinating inpatient discharge. Provide follow-up for postoperative patients and participate in quality improvement initiatives. Join the Cardiothoracic Surgery division to support a growing multidisciplinary Pulmonary Nodule and Lung Cancer Screening Program with opportunities for bedside procedural and operative skills development.
Required Qualifications
- Current unrestricted Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner medical license in Delaware
- Valid Controlled Substance Registration with Delaware/DEA
- BLS
- Clear Communication Skills Both Written And Verbal
- Knowledge Of Basic Computer Programs
- Able To Keep Confidential Information Regarding Patients, Team Members
- Able To Withstand Crisis Situations
- Has Skills To Provides Customer Service To Patients, Team Members And Visitors
- Knowledge And Experience With Electronic Health Records
- Physician Associate
- Nurse Practitioner (certified in medical surgery)
- Master of Science (MS)
- ACNP plus NP certification in medical surgery

- Opportunity to develop inpatient thoracic bedside procedural and operative skills
- If the candidate already comes with operative experience, then may participate as first assist for thoracic operations
