Job Summary
Conduct all aspects of plumbing work including maintenance, installations, and testing across domestic and non-domestic properties, handling general repairs, external roofing, drainage, and complex central heating systems. Perform modifications to existing pipework, connect new systems to mains, and fit or remove components while ensuring watertight integrity. Test all completed works for operation and supply continuity, carry out periodic gas installation inspections, and maintain current certifications including SNIJIB Grading Cards and H&S accreditation. Train apprentices and utilize handheld technology for work instructions and data recording while adhering to industry standards and safety regulations. Work across Fife Wide on a 36-hour week with a four-day schedule, ensuring high-quality, responsive service delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Applicant must be a time served trade's person
- Must have served a recognised apprenticeship within the plumbing industry
- Must be in possession of a current SNIJIB Grading Card
- At least 2 years' experience within the plumbing industry installing central heating, kitchens, bathrooms, maintenance
- Good problem-solving abilities
- Must obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland
- Must become a member of the relevant PVG scheme
- Must work Fife Wide
- Must maintain current and develop new competences and certification/registration required of the post
- Must ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with Industry Standards and Regulations, Health & Safety Regulations
- Must ensure compliance with appropriate Health & Safety regulations / requirements
- Must wear and use PPE clothing and equipment

- Flexibility to carry out any 'bolt-on skills' work as is required to complete work as defined in Craft Remuneration package and considered as good practice
