Job Summary
Meet with client families on a pre-need basis to present options for cemetery, funeral, and cremation services and merchandise. Work independently to solicit new leads, referrals, and sales opportunities through cold calling, telephone solicitation, and seminars. Proactively create sales away from the location with little supervision while maintaining professional relationships and ethical methods. Develop community contacts and report progress to the Sales Manager, completing all paperwork, contracts, and payments within required deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license in good standing and acceptable driving record
- Minimum of 2 years of sales experience
- Ability to read, write and speak English fluently
Desired Qualifications
- some college or college degree
- Proven track record of success in outside sales production
- BI-LINGUAL
- A desire to make money while helping people
- Strong telephone, interpersonal, and communications skills
- High level of compassion and integrity
- Independent, self-reliant, and self-motivated
- Must be able to multi-task, set priorities and manage appointments
- A current life insurance license or ability to obtain one
