Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients recovering from injuries, diseases, or surgeries to determine physical therapy needs. Develop and implement customized treatment plans employing exercises, hands-on therapies, and assistive equipment to alleviate pain and enhance mobility. Monitor and document patient progress while adjusting plans to meet therapeutic goals. Educate patients and caregivers on appropriate techniques and assistive devices for safe self-care. Provide mentorship and support to new graduates entering the field. Work onsite at our rehabilitation center in Old Greenwich, Connecticut, serving a diverse population including children and adults with conditions ranging from post-surgical recovery to chronic pain.
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution
- A valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Connecticut
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in using electronic health records and other relevant software
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and education
Desired Qualifications
- While a minimum of two years of experience is preferred, outstanding new graduates with a passion for rehabilitative care are also encouraged to apply
- Experience in a variety of treatment settings and techniques
