Job Summary
Assess, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages via telephone triage, centre-based consultations, and home visits while delivering urgent and palliative care. Prescribe medication and maintain accurate clinical records across most service sites. Complete mandatory online induction, palliative care training, and a 4-hour shadowing shift before working independently. Must hold an Independent Prescriber credential, Master's degree in Advanced Clinical Practice, and valid DBS clearance. Live locally to Berwick-upon-Tweed and be available for regular shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Independent Prescriber
- Master's degree (or equivalent) in Advanced Clinical Practice, or working towards one
- Confident treating patients of all ages
- Happy to provide palliative care
- Willing to undertake triage, centre visits, and home visits
- Able to work across most service sites
- Willing to pick up regular shifts where available
- Reliable and committed to completing the onboarding process
- Must live locally
- Online induction (weekday evening, 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm)
- Palliative Care training (weekday evening, 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm)
- One 4-hour shadowing shift before working independently
- Updated CV
- Valid DBS certificate
- Passport copy
- Right to Work Share Code (if applicable)
