Job Summary
Perform lab-based configuration of network equipment and design, develop, and implement complex systems with a focus on networking and MBSE tools. Identify, analyze, and resolve system design weaknesses in networked environments while developing security documentation and providing accreditation/certification evaluation support. Utilize MBSE tools to model, simulate, and analyze system designs, ensuring alignment with project requirements and collaborating with cross-functional teams for robust, scalable architectures. Research vendor products and specifications to determine design feasibility and apply advanced diagnostic techniques to resolve connectivity issues across complex network architectures. This role supports the NC3 engineering group's mission to integrate state-of-the-art network and security devices into critical mission systems. The position requires a Department of Defense Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship, with a combined salary range of $118,570 to $131,539 annually. Work is fully on-site at the Taunton, MA facility with occasional travel to Dedham, MA, under a flexible 9/80 schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field
- 5+ years of job-related experience
- Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience
- Department of Defense Secret security clearance
- U.S. citizenship
- Clear understanding of systems engineering concepts, principles, theories, and technical standards
- Solid understanding and application of systems engineering principles, concepts, and theories
- Solid understanding of network design principles, theories, best practices, and concepts
- Advanced diagnostic techniques to identify and resolve connectivity issues across complex network architectures
- Expertise in configuring switches, routers, and firewalls to ensure secure and efficient network operations
- Proficiency in MBSE tools (e.g., Cameo Systems Modeler, MagicDraw, or similar)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly report information relevant to sound systems engineering design
- Ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and handle complex assignments efficiently
- Awareness of business objectives and the role of engineering in achieving these goals
- Skilled in communicating issues, impacts, and corrective actions effectively
