Advanced NDT/NDE Technician – PAUT / TOFD (Shutdown/Outages - USA Project Work)

Job Summary

Execute Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) and Time-of-Flight Diffraction (TOFD) on welds, vessels, and piping assets. Set up, calibrate, and verify advanced equipment and scanners. Collect and interpret A/B/C-scans and TOFD diffraction signals to detect, size, and characterize flaws. Complete detailed inspection reports, data packages, and isometric rollouts per company standard operating procedures. Maintain strict safety standards in accordance with client-specific policies and provincial regulations. Valid CGSB Level II or III in Ultrasonic Testing or ISO 9712/PCN Level II in PAUT and TOFD required. 3+ years of active field experience operating PAUT and TOFD equipment necessary. CSTS-20, First Aid/CPR, Confined Space Entry, Fall Protection, and H2S Alive tickets required. Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean abstract needed. Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid CGSB Level II or III in Ultrasonic Testing (UT) OR ISO 9712 / PCN Level II in PAUT and TOFD
  • 3+ years of active field experience operating PAUT and TOFD equipment
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driver's abstract
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
  • Valid passport

  • Confined Space Entry
  • Fall Protection
  • H2S Alive
  • Additional CGSB tickets (MT, PT, or RT)
  • Experience with Total Focusing Method (TFM) / Full Matrix Capture (FMC)
  • Performance Demonstration Qualification (PDQ) or specialized pipeline integrity experience
  • IRATA level 1 or greater or willing to obtain
