Job Summary
Advanced Microfabrication Technology Engineer responsible for developing, evaluating, and implementing micro-fabrication processes and micro-scale manufacturing methods for next-generation interconnect technologies. Lead lab and pilot-scale experiments to prototype and validate microfabrication and micro-assembly technologies; develop and qualify micro-assembly processes with fixturing and alignment strategies; support semi-automation/automation concepts (vision alignment, pick-and-place, error-proofing). Assess multiple fabrication methods such as lithography/patterning, laser micromachining, micro-EDM, micro-stamping/forming, electroforming/plating, and micro-injection molding; define process windows and DOE/capability studies; support metrology and characterization (optical microscopy, profilometry, SEM); perform root cause analysis for yield and reliability issues; collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate design needs into manufacturable micro-scale solutions; interface with suppliers and vendors to assess emerging technologies and support tech transfer to manufacturing.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or related discipline; Master’s or PhD preferred.
