Job Summary
Advanced Mechanical Engineer role in Philips Sustaining Engineering focused on improving the supply chain for medical equipment (MRI, CT, advanced molecular imaging, ultrasound, digital X-ray). Responsibilities include supporting global cross-functional supplier transfer projects, building networks to identify high-impact transfers that reduce total cost of ownership, conducting supplier design reviews, executing phase in–phase out planning, supporting make/buy analyses, deploying early supplier involvement, and using project-management tools to ensure rigorous planning and risk management. Requires B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred), 5+ years of design engineering and cross-functional project leadership, CAD experience, knowledge of manufacturing quality systems and GD&T, and strong communication skills. Required Qualifications
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
- MS in engineering preferred
- 5 or more years of proven design engineering and project management experience
- Experience supporting global projects
- Experience with CAD software(s)
- Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Knowledge of manufacturing quality systems and working in a regulated industry
- Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerance
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Excel, Power Point, and Word
- Strong English written and verbal communication skills
