Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Specialist

Job Summary
Develop and execute the global Discrete Event Simulation and Digital Twin roadmap, establishing governance, standards, and modeling best practices. Create and maintain simulation models for assembly, fabrication, logistics, and material flow to evaluate production scenarios, validate capacity prior to launch, and quantify process change impacts. Lead the deployment of simulation capabilities across all manufacturing sites, integrating platforms with ERP, IoT, and operational datasets to enable real-time digital twins. Serve as the primary technical advisor for factory design, capacity planning, and automation investments, presenting data-driven recommendations to senior leadership. Ensure simulation is implemented as a required deliverable within manufacturing process design and NPDI activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Systems Engineering, Operations Research, or related field
- 2+ years developing complex discrete event simulation models
- Experience supporting global manufacturing operations
- Expert knowledge of Discrete Event Simulation (DES)
- Expert knowledge of Factory Simulation
- Expert knowledge of Digital Twin architecture
- Expert knowledge of Capacity modeling
- Expert knowledge of Queuing theory
- Expert knowledge of Statistical analysis
- Expert knowledge of Process optimization
- Advanced proficiency with Simio
- Advanced proficiency with AnyLogic
- Advanced proficiency with FlexSim
- Advanced proficiency with Arena
- Advanced proficiency with AutoMod or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of Manufacturing Bills of Process (BoP)
- Strong understanding of MES systems
- Strong understanding of ERP systems
- Strong understanding of Operational Technology (OT)
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing
- Strong understanding of Theory of Constraints
- Strong understanding of OEE / OOE analysis
