Job Summary

Advanced Manufacturing Engineer responsible for leading the introduction and ramp-up of new contract manufacturing sites and production capabilities for NPI programs. Drive manufacturing readiness with external partners, define production requirements, validate process capability, and ensure a smooth transition from prototype to full production. Collaborate with CM engineering teams to develop robust manufacturing processes, oversee equipment/tooling readiness, and resolve issues during pilot and early builds. Evaluate process efficiency, optimize workflows with CMs, and ensure alignment with quality, cost, and schedule objectives. Bridge design and manufacturing to industrialize and launch new products through global contract manufacturing partners. Key activities include establishing new CM locations and production capabilities, managing prototypes manufacturing (purchasing/logistics/scheduling/budget), delivering AME outputs (PFD, PFMEA, QCP, manufacturing BOMs), participating in DFA/DFM design reviews, coordinating CM packaging requirements, and tracking KPIs. Travel 25-90% depending on stage of production maturity; may include international travel. Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in manufacturing or process engineering
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience in manufacturing or process engineering in OEM or Tier I supplier community
  • Experience driving automation solutions for metal fabrication and component integration
  • Hands-on manufacturing environment experience in high volume, low-mix production
  • Knowledge of manufacturing metrics (OEE, yield) and KPIs
  • Knowledge of APQP or stage gate release processes, ISO9001, TS16949, and global OEM development systems
  • Ability to travel to contract manufacturing locations with little advanced notice
