Job Summary
Operate radiologic equipment to make clinical diagnostic images and perform routine procedures for neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. Conduct patient preparation, education, and comfort measures while soliciting clinical history and documenting information for radiologists. Select appropriate exposure factors, position patients and equipment, and evaluate images to ensure diagnostic quality and proper identification. Complete all required didactic training courses and supervised imaging procedures documented per ARRT guidelines. Actively participate in quality control tests, adhere to radiation safety policies, and follow established imaging protocols. Become ARRT certified within three months of completing the training program.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (R), American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
- BLS certified
