Job Summary
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in heavy-duty diesel engines, perform routine maintenance and inspections, and troubleshoot problems with fuel systems, transmissions, and hydraulic systems. Maintain accurate repair records, collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow, and adhere to safety protocols while keeping the work environment clean and organized. This role requires extensive experience with driveline, trailers, brakes, and clutches, proficiency in diagnostic tools, and the ability to read technical manuals. Based in Gaylord, MI, you will work alongside elite technicians at a premier truck and heavy equipment facility in Michigan.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic or similar role
- Experience in driveline, trailers, brakes, and clutches
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems and components
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Valid driver's license
