Job Summary
Provide inpatient and outpatient heart failure and transplant consultation services, including LVAD/HTx clinic rounds, echocardiography for VAD and heart transplant, and invasive procedures such as right heart catheterization, implantable pulmonary artery monitor placement, and endomyocardial biopsies. Conduct ACGME education for Cardiology Fellows and rotate service on the inpatient cardiac transplant service at BSWH Round Rock and Memorial Hospital in Temple. Maintain UNOS qualification for cardiac transplant patient care. Predominantly located in Lakeway with an expected 1:4 call rotation in Round Rock and six weeks of call annually in Temple.
Required Qualifications
- Must be UNOS qualified for the care of patients with cardiac transplants
- Predominant amount of time in Lakeway
- Expected call 1:4 in Round Rock location (Recovery program)
- Expected call 6 weeks a year in Temple location (VAD/HTx program)
