Job Summary
Coordinate patient care during assigned shifts across Pre-op, Post-op, PACU, and the Operating Room, adhering to medical plans and nursing standards. Direct and support personnel while performing scrub and circulating nurse roles, ensuring safe, age-appropriate care throughout the surgical experience. Assess and interpret patient data to determine procedure-specific needs, utilizing ACLS and BLS skills. Float between the Pavilion and Main OR as part of a weekday and weekend call rotation. Complete annual education requirements and unit competencies while documenting in Meditech applications.
Required Qualifications
- Nursing Diploma and/or Associate Degree in Nursing
- Current and valid Registered nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia or from a state that is part of a Compact agreement with Virginia
- ACLS within six (6) months of hire
- BLS
- One (1) year of RN experience
- Previous experience in ICU, ER, Med Surg, Pre or Post Op, PACU
- Previous ambulatory surgery or OR experience
- Ability to meet physical and mental requirements for job in a fast paced, surgical/procedural setting
- Ability to work on-call and rotating shifts

- CNOR
- Cardiac monitoring
- PALS within 12 months of hire
