Job Summary
As an ADVANCED EMT, you'll provide Advanced Life Support, including medical evaluation, treatment, and stabilization of critically ill and injured patients. Key responsibilities include directing patient care at emergency scenes, executing advanced medical procedures like intubations and drug therapies, managing first responders, and maintaining clear communication with hospital staff. Mandatory qualifications include an AEMT license, CPR and ACLS certifications, and a clean driving record. Physical stamina and capability to work in challenging environments are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- Must possess and maintain unrestricted AEMT Licensure / Certification
- Must possess and maintain CPR for the Health Care Provider (AHA, ASHI, ECSI)
- Must possess and maintain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Must possess and maintain Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Must possess and maintain unrestricted state driver’s license.
- Must have completed CEVO or EVOC upon date of hire
- Must possess NIMS 700
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in ICS 100 & 200; 300 & 400 preferred but not required
- Certification in FEMA IS-800
Additional Requirements
- Incumbents will be required to operate emergency vehicles and move medical equipment and extract injured persons from various situations which can involve hazardous conditions.
- Incumbents will be issued and must wear Company issued uniforms while on duty.
