Job Summary
Instructs and manages classrooms for electrical/ vocational training focused on workforce development, employing competency-based and computer-assisted instruction. Develops and maintains lesson plans, creates innovative training activities, and coordinates with academic departments for integrated learning opportunities. Supports job placement and post-secondary credentials, and cultivates industry partnerships to enable work-based learning and internships. Requires at least an associate degree (bachelor’s preferred) and roughly two years of related experience. Proficiency in analyzing materials, drafting reports and procedures, and applying mathematical concepts is needed. A driver’s license is recommended, and vocational trade certification or union/national trade organization certification is preferred. Required Qualifications
- Minimum of Associates Degree. Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- At least two years' related experience
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations
- Must be able to draft reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts and practical situations such as probability, statistical inference, and proportions
- Valid State Driver’s License recommended
- Certification/experience in vocational trade preferred
- Instructor certification by a union or trade organization or by a national trade certifying organization (National Trade Council requirement)
