Job Summary
Develop product designs and engineering solutions from concept through production, creating and maintaining models, drawings, and technical documentation. Drive design improvements focused on performance, quality, cost, and manufacturability while supporting prototype development, testing, validation, and production launch activities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, sourcing, and sales to manage assigned engineering projects and resolve technical issues. Participate in design reviews, continuous improvement initiatives, and customer discussions to ensure successful project outcomes. Apply Design for Manufacturability principles and FEA analysis to deliver innovative products that improve performance and efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field
- 3–5 years of engineering experience in product development, manufacturing, or a related environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage engineering assignments with limited supervision
- Experience supporting product development through the full engineering lifecycle
- Strong communication, collaboration, and project coordination skills
- Ability to balance technical requirements, customer expectations, and business objectives
- Working knowledge of mechanical systems, structural design, and material selection
- Experience applying Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles
- Familiarity with FEA analysis and product validation methods
- Understanding of fabrication, welding, and manufacturing processes
- Ability to independently manage assigned engineering projects and priorities
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Proficiency with CAD modeling and engineering documentation
