Job Summary
Conduct post-service detail inspections, clean vehicle interiors and exteriors using special purpose cleaners, and apply compounds, polishes, waxes, and sealants to auto bodies. Perform color/wet sanding, install ceramic coating, and repair paint touch-ups as needed. Install, trim, and repair paint protection film while operating buffers, polishers, steamers, and vacuums safely. Open, document, and close work order lines in Rivian's proprietary system, maintain inventory, and move or deliver vehicles in mobile environments. Use proper personal protection equipment in accordance with SDS and EHS standards. Work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, with approximately 25% travel time for support.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 21 years or older and be authorized to work in the U.S
- Valid in-state driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to communicate, read, and comprehend the English language for all job related instructions and information
- Must be able stand or walk for extended hours
- Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds
- Driven and self-motivated individual, with ability to work with little or no supervision
- Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and possible holidays
- Ability to travel for support as needed – around 25% of the time
Desired Qualifications
- Prior detail or car wash experience – 2 - 4 years recommended
- High School diploma or equivalent recommended but not required
- Certifications or Authorized Installers recommend but not required
- Sales/customer service experience recommended but not required
- Willingness to learn and perform a wide range of allocated tasks
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and advancements in the industry
- Excellent manual dexterity skills as well as patience to deal with high stress and high volume situations
- Attention to detail with excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
