Job Summary
One-year non-ACGME clinical fellowship in Advanced Coronary and Minimally Invasive Robotic Cardiac Surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital, focused on advanced coronary and minimally invasive procedures, with responsibilities spanning pre-operative evaluation and planning, operative technique, post-operative care, and clinical research. Mentored by Dr. Nirav Patel (Program Director) and Dr. Frank Manetta (Assistant Program Director), the fellow will participate in all aspects of patient care and research within a high-volume cardiovascular program; eligibility requires completion of an ACGME thoracic surgery program or equivalent, USMLE steps passed, ECFMG certified, and NY medical licensure by July 2025. Applications are reviewed for a July 2025 start, with compensation between $70K and $95K based on factors including experience and academic accomplishments.
Required Qualifications
- Completed ACGME-accredited Thoracic Surgery program or equivalent
- Eligible for medical licensure in the State of New York by July 2025
- USMLE STEP 1 and STEP 2 completed
- ECFMG certified
