Job Summary
Maintain on-time deliveries and quality control procedures by coordinating efforts with purchasing, assembly, and QC to move jobs through production. Operate CNC Swiss Lathe turning centers, Live Tool Lathe machines, and Fadel CNC machines, adjusting offsets, inserts, and collets to meet tight tolerances for low-volume tooling and higher-volume parts. Create detailed setup instructions, work orders, and process documents identifying tool sequences, fixtures, speeds, and feeds. Design and mill fixtures for production runs while training other machinists on setup and operation. Consistently clean and maintain machines to ensure optimal condition.
Required Qualifications
- Mastercam programming skills
- Master machinist Level A machinist or Tool/Die Certification
- Project Management experience
- Extensive experience programming 4-axis, 5-axis, & 3-D contour complex precision parts
- Ability to program, setup, and initiate new production runs through FAI
- 5+ years Mastercam programming experience
- In depth knowledge of materials and tool selection for proper application
- In depth knowledge of set-up techniques to ensure optimum quality and productivity through the manufacturing process
- Management ability
- Ability to train other machinists to set up & run production parts
- Ability to move around an office environment and on the production floor
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 20-25 pounds
- Must be able to continuously stand and/or walk for extended periods of time on concrete surfaces
- Ability to repeatedly kneel, bend, crouch, reach, and/or stoop throughout the shift as needed to successfully perform job duties
