Job Summary
Lead the creation of innovative analytical solutions that deliver actionable information to business leaders by designing, developing, and deploying reusable reports and dashboards using Tableau and other commercial or open-source tools. Partner with business leaders to understand success drivers, leverage available data sources, and transform technical requirements into practical business value. Access, manipulate, and interpret large datasets to inform decision-making, utilizing SQL, Python, or R for data transformation and complex querying. This role requires a Master's degree in a STEM field with a focus on Business Analytics and 3-5 years of experience in quantitative and qualitative analytics, preferably within a hospital or healthcare delivery setting. Candidates must demonstrate advanced proficiency with Tableau, experience with healthcare EMR systems such as Epic, and the ability to communicate technical solutions to non-technical audiences. Salary ranges from $52.00 to $86.00 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years experience
- Masters degree
- BA/BS, MA/MS and/or PhD in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Engineering or closely related quantitative field or equivalent experience
- Master's degrees in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or Business Analytics) with focus on Business Analytics
- 5+ years of experience in business analytics and performing quantitative and qualitative analytics, preferably in a hospital or healthcare delivery setting
- 3+ years of experience working with Tableau advanced features
- Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in data visualization
- Experience accessing, manipulating and interpreting large data sets to inform decision-making, including data transformation at scale, leveraging tools such as Tableau Prep or Python
- Experience querying data using SQL, and manipulating /analyzing data using complex SQL queries as well as other computing languages such as R or Python
- Previous experience working with healthcare (operational /financial) data and healthcare EMR systems (especially Epic, Clarity, Caboodle)
- Excellent communication skills along with the ability to work with business leaders and technical teams to gather business needs and turn them into technical requirements
- Self-motivated, self-directed and attentive to detail
- Ability to effectively describe technical problems and solutions to a non-technical audience
