Job Summary

Conduct advanced analytics on behavioral health and substance abuse data to identify trends, improve care, and inform business decisions. Develop algorithms for member targeting, refine segmentation criteria, and design tests or pilot programs to measure clinical, utilization, and financial outcomes. Consult with business leaders to drive product innovation, demonstrate program value, and support strategic decision-making. Lead projects, author white papers, and present findings at industry conferences. Requires MS, MA, or PhD in a quantitative discipline with five years of healthcare analytics experience; salary range $111,520 to $184,008. Hybrid work model with 1-2 days in-office required.

Required Qualifications

  • MS, MA, or PhD with concentration in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Epidemiology, Engineering, Computer Science or Operations Research
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in related health care analytics
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background
  • In-office 1 - 2 days per week
  • Reside within a reasonable commuting distance from the posting location(s) in Illinois or Virginia

  • The ability to present meaningful results to a business audience
  • Participate collaboratively in a team tasked to produce complex analyses
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with developing analytics for segmentation/stratification that supports customized strategies for different customer segments in a major industry highly desirable - healthcare, financial, database/direct marketing, online retails, consulting, etc.
  • Substantial experience analyzing data related to behavioral health factors/social determinants of health
  • Experience in the areas of mental health, behavioral health, and substance use disorders
  • Advanced SAS or SQL skills
