Job Summary
Advanced Analytics Analyst within Medtronic's Corporate Audit Data Analytics team leads data analytics projects to enhance audit effectiveness, provide risk insights, and improve efficiency using SQL, Python, Excel, Power BI, Alteryx, and Power Platform. Responsibilities include designing and delivering analytical solutions for risk-based audits, SOX activities, and advisory engagements; developing data queries, transformations, and models; creating dashboards and reports for technical and non-technical stakeholders; documenting analytics projects; ensuring data quality in large enterprise datasets; managing multiple assignments; collaborating with IT, data teams, and business partners; and traveling up to 30% as needed. Must have a Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience in audit or a related analytical role, with experience in data analysis and analytics tools. Nice-to-have includes advanced degrees and foundational skills in SQL/Python, SAP/ERP familiarity, SDLC methodologies, version control, and exposure to AI tools.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2+ years of experience in Audit (e.g., Big 4 or similar), Internal Audit, Accounting, Finance, or another analytical role
- Experience with data analysis, reporting, or analytics tools such as Excel, Power BI, Alteryx, or similar technologies
- Foundational programming experience using SQL or Python
- Basic understanding of data mining, data transformation, and data modeling concepts
- Familiarity with enterprise systems such as SAP or other large ERP platforms
- Basic understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall
- Exposure to AI‐assisted analytics or coding tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar technologies
