Job Summary
Set up and calibrate inspection equipment, then conduct tests using Phased Array, UTSW, or other NDT techniques to evaluate IRIS, Neardrum, and Tank/Paper machine systems. Interpret, evaluate, and document results while identifying and resolving problems in industrial facilities such as power generation or pulp and paper environments. Direct the work of trainees and Level I personnel, edit numerical data, and present findings effectively. Work with minimal supervision and adhere to relevant codes and standards. Requires a Level II NDE certification, specialized NDT program graduation, and valid driver's license. Full-time position in Savannah, GA or Jacksonville, FL.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Current TWIC Card or eligibility to get approved
- Graduate of a specialized NDT technical program meeting SNT-TC1A for one or all of the following: PAUT; AUT
- Prior certification as an UTSW NDE Level II with one (1) year experience
- Prior certification as Level II per SNT-TC1A standards on Phased Array
- Prior certification as Level II per SNT-TC1A standards on UTSW
- Experience with IRIS (Internal Rotary Inspection System) Inspections
- Experience operating Neardrum equipment
- Experience with Tank and Paper machine AUT inspection's
- Proficient in Ultrasonic thickness data collection and interpretation
- Ability to work safely in industrial facilities, including power generation, Pulp and Paper, or similar environments
- Strong understanding of NDT procedures and industry standards
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to Travel, Etc.
- Valid Driver's License
