Job Summary
Advance Practice Provider (NP/PA) in Endocrinology providing primary/specialty care with a collaborative healthcare team. Responsibilities include taking histories and performing exams, ordering and interpreting labs/imaging, developing diagnoses and treatment plans, prescribing/monitoring medications, educating patients on diseases and treatments, participating in rounds and coordinating care, ensuring regulatory and credentialing requirements, contributing to quality improvement, and acting as a clinical preceptor or educator as needed. Requires MSN (APRN) or equivalent PA Master’s degree, active state licenses, national certification, BLS (and ACLS/PALS/NRP as applicable), and credentialing/privilege approvals.”,
Required Qualifications
- Nationally certified Advanced Practice Provider (APRN/PA)
- MSN or higher for APRN; PA has master’s degree or higher
- Licensed to practice and prescribe in applicable states
- Active RN licensure in applicable state(s)
- APRN/PA national certification (e.g., ANCC, AAPA NCCPA)
- BLS certification; ACLS/PALS/NRP as required by work setting
- DEA license (or designee) per scope of practice
- Credentialed and privileged by Medical Executive Committee/Governing Body
- Ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary team
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and documentation skills
- Experience in education/mentorship or precepting (clinical education)
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and patient safety
