Job Summary
Demonstrate advanced assessment skills and anticipate the impact of nursing care on patient outcomes while planning and implementing individualized care plans. Act as a resource to colleagues, document the nursing process accurately, and evaluate care plans promptly to ensure best possible outcomes. Develop or revise policies and procedures incorporating evidence-based research, delegate effectively using the Synergy model, and function as a Charge Nurse when assigned. Resolve complex issues independently, advocate for patients, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including patient and family advisors. Role model effective listening, address discipline-specific unit issues, and achieve required contact hours to maintain position.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited prelicensure Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- 18 months of recent nursing experience
- 12 months of experience in the area of concentration
- Graduate of an accredited prelicensure Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- 2 years of recent nursing experience
- 12 months of experience in the area of concentration
- A valid, unencumbered Registered Nursing License approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing
- BLS certification
- Completion of VIP or EBP Project
- Must meet all Clinical Nurse I Employee Commitments
- Achieves points and contact hours as defined in the PLAN (clinical lattice) point system
- Travel may be required
Desired Qualifications
- ACLS certification
- Active compact/multistate license (eNLC) within 60 days of hire
