Job Summary
Conduct advanced nursing care in a multidisciplinary setting, managing patient care across critical care, trauma, and surgery units while assisting with procedures such as chest tubes and line placements. Perform all routine duties of a registered nurse alongside advanced clinical responsibilities within the scope of practice approved by the credentialing committee. Maintain accurate medical documentation to substantiate billing and demonstrate clinical competency in pharmacology and prescription writing. Requires an advanced degree (Master's or Doctoral) in nursing, APRN board certification, and ACLS/BLS certification. Background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse is mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced degree from an accredited school or college of nursing
- Master's Degree in nursing
- Registered Professional Nurse who is authorized by Florida to practice in accordance with state law
- Medicare number in the State of Florida prior to 1/1/03
- Approved APRN board certification
- Certification as an APRN by a recognized national certifying body

- Knowledge of state, federal and local health care agencies and programs
- Ability to work independently and effectively with physicians and other allied health personnel in the hospital and/or office setting
- Demonstrated clinical competency skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of pharmacology as it relates to health care practice and current prescription writing skills/DEA licensing
- Demonstrated skills in documentation in medical records to substantiate accurate billing
- Demonstrated written & verbal communication & strong analytical skills
- Effective interaction skills to ensure the successful care of patients in the clinical setting
- Effective leadership and strong interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of relevant state and federal laws, statutes and regulations
- M D: Masters Degree
- ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- BLS: Basic Life Support
