Job Summary
Provide direct psychiatric care to patients in the Crisis Stabilization/EMPATH Unit, participating in collaborative care with Emergency Department teams, medical and surgical specialties, and social services. Engage in consultation-liaison psychiatry as needed, including floor consults, while supervising and teaching psychiatry residents, medical students, and other trainees. Collaborate with a team of nurse practitioners, social workers, case managers, and peer support specialists to ensure seamless transitions of care. Contribute to quality improvement, innovation, and development of best practices in emergency psychiatric care. This role offers the potential for a Medical Directorship, overseeing clinical operations and shaping emergent psychiatric services. Required Qualifications
- Board-certified or board-eligible psychiatrist
- California residency
